Moville Music Festival brings together music lovers from all over the country for a weekend of traditional Irish music. A number of venues in the town host sessions beginning on Friday evening and ending whenever we have to go back to work!

Moville is situated on the banks of Lough Foyle in Inishowen, Co Donegal. It is a small, but lively and friendly port with many fine bars and hotels. It commands fantastic views over Lough Foyle and is very close to some of the best beaches in Ireland.

Getting to Moville is easy from Derry (about 25 minutes scenic drive) or from the North Coast of Co Derry by the Lough Foyle Ferry (about 15 minutes crossing).

Moville comes from Bun an Phobail meaning the bottom /end of the common/parish or Maigh Bhile meaning the plain of the sacred tree.

The symbol of the sacred tree  represents the growth of music in the community.
